Madikeri/Coorg District Map
Madikeri: It is the district centre – home of the martial Kodava community. The fort, Omkareshwara (a Shiva temple in the heart of the city and a Pilgrim centre) temple and Raja seat are worth visiting. Madikeri district is famous for coffee and orange plantations.
Bhagamandala: Famous for its temple Bhagandeshwara situated 42 Kms from Madikeri. Conluence of Cauvery, Kannika and Sajjothi rivers
Talacauvery: Birth place of river cauvery which is a famous pilgrim centre of the Kodavas and Hindus.
Abbe Falls: Natural water falls plunges from a height of 70 feet, located amidst plantations.
Nisargdhama: An ideal picnic spot and a place pf scenic beauty.
Harangi: A dam and picnic spot.
Thadiyendamol Hill Station: This hill station famous for trekking has Nalkanadu palace which once belonged to the Hindu king, Langaraja.
