Shravanabelagola, February 14, 2006: Masthakhabhisheka on Tuesday belonged to relatives, friends and families of police and other Government officials. Hence, the traditional kalasha abhisheka was eschewed with and the panchamurtha abhisheka took the centre spot. Some members of the general public also got an opportunity to witness the masthakabhisheka.
The evening belonged to Padmashri Dr.Kunnukudi Vidyanathan, the genuis of Carnatic classical music. However, cine artiste Revathi, who cancelled her dance performance owing to an ankle fracture, disappointed many.
