Shravanabelagola (Hassan District, Karnataka), August 20, 2017: Come February – 2018, all eyes will be focused towards the holy place Shravanabelagola to witness the spectacular Mahamasthakabhisheka Mahotsava of Lord Bahubali. On this unique occasion, the Gommateshwara Bhagawan Mahamasthakabhisheka Mahotsava Committee – 2018 (GBMMC-2018) has envisaged to organize an exhibition of International standards. Suresh Kumar Jain, president of exhibition committee and member of the Karnataka State Government committee of Mahamasthakabhisheka Mahotsava has mentioned this in a press release. “Preparations are in progress for organizing the exhibition under the aegis of Government of Karnataka, Karnataka Exhibition Authority and other ministries from the state and central Governments. This will be a conglomeration of various kinds of exhibits that include religious, educational, sociocultural, industrial, trade and Business-2-Business (B2B) exhibition that will be spread over an extensive area of around 20 acres land”, he added.

Stalls & Pavilions – Furthermore elaborating on the exhibition’s structure Mr. Jain has said that it is proposed to have various stalls and pavilions. The stalls are categorized as Commercial, Food & Book stalls. And the proposed pavilions include religious, regional (district), State and Central Government Departments and also of other states of the country.

Replicas of Jain Heritage & Pilgrim Centres – An added attraction to the entire exhibition will be an exclusive area displaying the replicas of Jain Heritage & Pilgrim centres.

Cultural Programmes – It is further planned to organize cultural programmes from renowned artists in the premises of the exhibition.

People’s Exhibition – Call for Applications – “Another special feature of this edition is that this exhibition will be a People’s exhibition where in applications are invited from interested individuals to be a part of the exhibition committee and involve themselves in organizing the exhibition”, he added. Various sub committees will be constituted and members of each sub-committee will be entrusted with specific responsibilities for smooth functioning of the exhibition.
