Shravanabelagola, October 22, 2005: The historic Adipurana one of the masterpiece works of Pampa the renowned Jaina poet during the 9th and 10th century, was taken in a procession in a silver palanquin from the Matada Basadi (the adobe of Goddess Kushmandini and Lord Chandranatha) to the Boppana stage of the Chavundaraya mantapa, the venue of the All Kannada Jain Literary Conference. Prof.G.Venkatasubbiah, who inagurated the conference place the altar containing Adipurana inside the palanquin as a respect to the Jina Shastra. – Jain Heritage Centres News Service (JHCNS)
