Shravanabelagola (Karnataka), October 23, 2005: Dr.Mrs.Kamala Hampana urged the government of Karnataka to name the Women University established at Bijapur as “Attimabbe Women Uinversity”. She called upon the Jain scholars and the samaj to pose a united voice in this direction. She was speaking during her presidential address of the interactive session (Samvada Goshti) during the All Karnataka Jain Kannada Sahitya Conference. She gave a patient hearing to the questions posed by the audience and her replies were well appreciated.
The president of the conference Dr.Ham.Pa.Nagarajaiah expressed his opinions during the interaction. Due to paucity of time the number of questions were restricted to around twenty. An attractive compeering by Sri S.N.Ashok Kumar, editor of Gommatavani Jain periodical added a flavour to the proceedings.
In his address to the audience Sri Charukeerthi Bhattarakha Swamiji opined that “Such interactive sessions during the conferences help the writers to share their knowledge and experience”. – Jain Heritage Centres News Service (JHCNS)
